Paneer Curry / Indian Cottage Cheese Gravy

This is one of my all time favourite curry.Any recipe that includes paneer makes that dish awesome. One cool thing about paneer is it nicely blends with any type of masala and gives a wonderful taste.I like to add kasoori methi powder in all my paneer dishes as it gives a fantastic aroma.Usually children love paneer but my kid hate it although I will make it twice a month as my hubby and me love it.Its a good dish to be made at parties  or any festive occassions.Try this curry ….yoy’ll love it for sure….

Ven Pongal / Ghee Pongal

Ven Pongal is a popular South indian breakfast item. This is so simple and is very easy to prepare .This is one of the dish that catches its place in the banana leaf in almost all the marriges in south. The rice and moong dal combined with ghee gives a wonderful taste. The best side dish for this is the coconut chutney and sambar. And  normally in hotels we see this  accompanied with a vada.My hubby loves it with chutney and I like sambar so I usually prepare both the items. For the traditional pongal we use raw rice but however normal rice can also be used for this recipe.Lets see the preparation…

Vendakkai / Okra Thayir Pachadi

A simple thayir pachadi with okra is  our menu today.I prefer ladies finger for pachadi but red pumpkin , ridge gourd can also be made as a thayir pachadi. This is a easy dish but need some patience because of the sliminess of this veggie. This is a perfect match with puli kulambu / tamarind based spicy gravy. And its so healthy too.You all know that ladies finger is so good for your memory power ,especially for kids.I  have eaten raw ladies finger when i was a kid but not now. This is my sons favourite veg.But he likes okra sambar the most. I hope you will definitely love it…Lets see the preparation…
